Designed for the Alen A350 and A375 Air Purifiers, the Alen® HEPA-Silver Filter combines three layers of filter technology to purify and freshen the air in your home while protecting the filter against bacteria and microbes.

Polluted air first passes through Alen's washable Pre-Filter to capture large particles, extending the life of the filter. In the second layer, air moves through a unique, electrostatically charged HEPA style material that attracts and captures dust, pollen, pet dander, mold spores and other airborne pollutants. Alen's anti-microbial Silver-Ion threads are woven into the HEPA style material, protecting the filter from harmful bacteria* and microbe growth. In the final layer, clean air passes through a layer of Alen's Activated Carbon, reducing light odors and chemicals commonly found in the air from cleaning products, smoke, cooking, pets and various other household materials.

  • Over time, the HEPA-Silver Filter becomes overloaded with particles, decreasing its filtration performance. We recommend replacing your filter every 6 months for severe concerns or when running your air purifier 24/7. Replace your filter every 12 months for light concerns or when running the air purifier only as needed.
  • Rinse or lightly vacuum the removable black Alen Pre-Filter as soon as it develops a layer of visible particles. Allow it to completely dry before replacing.
  • Washing or vacuuming the white HEPA style material will damage the fibers and is not recommended.

So so After reading the glowing reviews of the air filter, I was expecting quite a bit more out of it. I am a light smoker and I use the air filter in a room with 240SF and a 10' ceiling. For almost a week I ran it on high with both the UV & ionizer engaged. I could not tell any difference. After that, I put it on low and let it keep running.. The room seems somewhat better but still not as good as I thought it should be. As for the instructions: The last time I purchased something with instructions this poorly written was in the early days of Japanese imports. I still don't know when or if I am to use the UV & ionizer functions, so I just leave them on all the time. Also, seems a little odd that the power light indicates red in stead of green when the unit is on. I would not buy this unit again. April 29, 2013
This filter exceeded my expectations After using my filter both day and night for over a year , I was surprised at the amount of dust it cleaned from the air, there are times I need to check if it's running, it's that quiet. March 7, 2013

Great filter We purchased this filter and love it. Perfect for out apartment in Brooklyn. Live next door to smokers and use the silver filters. We have the auto ship replacement plan and appreciate not having to remember to order it every few months. July 29, 2012
I feel by using these filters that I feel better and my family is healthier. I get the silver filters and have 3 units. I use the auto ship every 6 months and it works just great for us.
